EU R&D Project Manager

Interface Europe, a company of experts specialised in European strategies and projects in the field of RD&I, is currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to work as EU Project Manager in its “European R&D Project Management” department.

The successful candidate will assist with the coordination of European RD&I projects financed by the European Commission under the Framework Programme 7 (FP7), the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP) and the Structural Funds.

Tasks:

  • Participate in the drafting of projects in close collaboration with Interface Europe’s scientific experts (biotechnology, health, food, ICT, energy, environment, etc.).
  • Participate in contract negotiations with the European Commission and in the drafting of consortium agreements.
  • Coordinate the participation of Interface Europe as partner in EU projects (including two ongoing projects started in 2011).
  • Assist with the project management in direct relation with project coordinators (partners), based on exclusive tools (project management tools and collaboration platform) developed by Interface Europe.
  • Contribute to the “European Helpdesk” provided by Interface Europe on legal (including Intellectual Property) and financial (including audits) issues regarding European RD&I contracts. 
  • Contribute to the distribution of Interface Europe’s services and tools.


Languages: Fluency in both English and French is required. Other EU languages would be an asset.

Requirements / profile:

  • Scientific (PhD) or engineering background.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as EU R&D Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager, either for the European Commission or a coordinator of EU RD&I projects;
  • Analytical skills and strong sense of organisation;
  • Autonomy and Leadership,
  • Ability to work in a team.


Salary: salary and benefits offered will be commensurate with experience.

Location: Brussels.
